1.0Where the name comes from

Chervil is the herb cooks call "gourmet's parsley": feathery, delicate and faintly sweet, usually the first thing to sprout in a spring kitchen garden. A row is where it grows. Put together, Chervilrow is our small tribute to the backyard potager and the kitchen it feeds.

2.0Why glass

We loved the idea of a board you could leave out on display rather than hide in a cupboard. Glass lets the artwork shine, the underside printing keeps the design away from your knife, and a smooth, non-porous top wipes clean after the garlic and the beets. Rubber feet keep it steady, and heat resistance means it can catch a hot pan too.

3.0Three collections

• Kitchen Garden: Herbs, lemons, radishes and heirloom tomatoes: the potager at the back door, painted in fresh botanical color.
• Porcelain Blue: Cobalt-on-white patterns inspired by the dinnerware on grandmother's dresser: tiles, willow scenes and hand-painted florals.
• Tidewater: Shells, crabs, sailboats and salt-marsh grasses for the kitchen that would rather be at the shore.

All 21 designs are original, painted for our boards, and none appear anywhere else.

4.0One size, one price

Every board is about 15.7 x 11.8 in and costs $44.99. Choosing is simply a matter of which artwork makes you smile. Shipping is a $7.99 flat rate and free on orders of $100 or more.

5.0How we look after you

Orders leave within 1-3 business days, fully tracked. You have 30 days to return a board, and if glass ever arrives broken we replace it without asking you to send it back. Questions go to info@chervilrow.com; our customer service email is available 24/7.
