Porcelain Blue · A patchwork of hand-painted cobalt tiles
Twelve different tiles, one confident board
Walk through any old town in Portugal or Spain and you will find walls covered in hand-painted blue tiles, no two quite the same. This board gathers that patchwork into one bold piece. It is our most graphic design and looks superb in a white kitchen.
About the artwork
A grid of square tiles fills the board, each painted with a different star, quatrefoil, rosette or petal motif in deep cobalt on white. The brushwork is deliberately a little irregular, like real glazed tiles, and the glass on top adds a glaze-like shine.
The board
| Size | Approx. 15.7 x 11.8 in (40 x 30 cm) |
|---|---|
| Material | Tempered glass, about 4 mm thick, with smooth rounded edges and corners |
| Artwork | Printed on the underside, seen through the glass; your knife only touches plain glass |
| Feet | Four non-slip rubber feet |
| Heat | Heat resistant, so it can stand in as a trivet for hot pans and dishes |
| Surface | Non-porous; won't soak up odors or stains |
| Price | $44.99 |
Every Chervilrow board is made to this one size, so the only choice to make is the artwork. More measurements are on our Size Guide.
