Porcelain Blue · Tulips in a fluted vase inside a scrolled blue border
A Dutch still life for the counter
In the seventeenth century, tulips were so prized in Holland that painters recorded them like jewels. This board nods to that golden age with a vase of blooms you never need to water. It has an old-world charm that suits a kitchen full of heirlooms.
About the artwork
Tall tulips and small wildflowers rise from a fluted vase in the center, framed by curling scrolls at each corner. Everything is painted in cobalt blue on white in the manner of antique Dutch delftware, with fine outlines and soft blue washes.
